TOYS FOR TOTS
Church of Compassion and Dayspring is partnering with Toys for Tots to give new toys to kids, ages 0-12 this Christmas.  To qualify, please sign-up in the office by October 15, 2017.  Please be aware that you must provide a partial Social Security number for each child participating.

REMINDERS:

Emergency Preparedness Kit
Each child will need to bring a labeled Emergency Kit in a large zip-loc bag containing the following applicable items:  snack-size pull top lid canned fruits, snack-size pull top lid canned dinners, soft candies, fruit snacks, granola bars, diapers if needed, formula or baby food if needed.  The Kit must be given to your child’s teacher no later than September 8th.

Children’s Cubbies
Please remember to restock your child’s cubby with updated spare clothes and bring a new Emergency Preparedness Kit by September 8th.

GOOD NEWS!!!
Grant
Dayspring Christian Learning Center recently received a grant from
the Department of Education for the school year, 2016-2017.
Through this grant, our teachers received support for workshops, iPads and new furniture for our Infant, Toddler and Young Preschool classrooms.

Water Report
Recently our church and school voluntarily participated in a program sponsored by Helix Water District designed to detect lead in our water system.  On May 9th collected samples indicated that our drinking water system is LEAD FREE!
